Carolyn's Classmates Quilts

Everyone's asking, so here are the little quilts
I made for each of the 6 classmates who have
been together for 50 years. I named it "Under
the Moon, Side by Side" since Side by Side was
our theme song. The photo was made at our
last reunion in Houston in 2009 at the water-
front, just as the moon was rising. Not perfect
pieces of art, but one I hope they treasure.

  1. Hi Carolyn,
Your little quilt is wonderful & I am sure your friends will treasure. Thank you so much for sharing!

  2. Oh Carolyn, Thanks so much for posting the photo of the piece and letting me know the details of this 12 x 12! I have been trying to think of something to do for my own childhood reunion and you gave me a spark. I think I might make little quilts that stand for each of the various homes where we slumber partied, danced, biked...individualized appliques...that should be easier than what you did! I don't know people who hang quilts so I had no idea what people might like. I will think. You accomplish!! Good job and Gracias!

  3. Carolyn how your classmates are going to love these lovely little quilts. Your fabric choices are so pretty, and I adore the name of the quilt! And Linda's idea is absolutely fabulous, featuring the homes of her friends from days gone by. I don't know why, Linda, you think your idea is "easier" than Carolyn's; it sounds pretty ambitious to me.
