I'm impressed with how nicely you pulled all the design elements from your head onto the finished piece. Your purple crayon rocks! What a fun first page to the quilted coloring book you are well on your way to creating. I do think this would make a great page in a color book - or a block in a bigger quilt all dedicated to the alphabet or to color. I will take a photo of the screens and crayon pattern that I made, but basically
I screened a large purple rectangle, then screened the black squiggle and crayola logo. I then traced around my crayon-shaped pattern, cut out the front and a back ( no logo ), stitched right sides together,
turned inside out and stuffed. I tried not to overstuff, because I wanted to flatten it a bit for the quilt. My original idea was to sew the crayon on the quilt, but too many layers with Wonder Under prevented that, so I ended up glueing on with Aleene's Tacky fabric glue. Now I know! I absolutely love the concept of a coloring book page, and I think you need to put together 26 quilts like this and publish it as a book--a book of quilts, not a coloring book. But back to this quilt--every aspect of it is amazing, and my comments are getting to be too long, so I'll just say--Super Job! (P. S.
