Guess what? I am going to Boston in late August for a nursing class reunion in nearby Rockport, and Andrea, Linda and I have planned a meeting. It will be so exciting to meet two East coast members of the Material Mavens! We will be sure to make a photo of the three of us and post it on our blog. I'm sure we will discuss how we are coming along on our HARMONY quilts - without giving away our designs, of course. This will be so much fun! I hope more of us will have the opportunity to meet as time goes by!
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI'm still amazed that you will be having your reunion in Rockport! I'm so looking forward to getting together with you & Linda. Once again, I just love how one thing leads to another!
Yes, we will have fun up in painters' art country and with Andrea's local leadership find a good restaurant, see the ocean...perhaps get a studio visit at Andrea's!
ReplyDeleteOnly if I don't have to CLEAN it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a MUST!!!!! ...not cleaning! Then I would not have to straighten up. It is important to have a fleld of stash from which to dream always out and available to peruse.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! I want to hitch a ride with Carolyn, but I'll be flying to CA for my baby sitting duties when ya'll are having lunch! Be sure to raise a glass to me and Bob, in honor of our 52nd anniversary on that day!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Alice. That's right! Your wedding day!!!
ReplyDeleteHow great to be able to visit other members' studios! I am a big fan of that. Some of my students have mentioned wanting to see my studio, but I haven't taken any pictures that can really encompass what it is like. Umm and to that cleaning up a studio thing. That is not how I want to see a studio. I can't imagine doing any art in a really clean space. I wouldn't mind a kitchen that cleaned itself though.
