Petra's Mystery Quilt

Petra's Mystery Quilt,

Mine is a guess the animal quilt, so I'll leave it to you to guess for now

  1. Monarch Butterfly? They do have orange markings similar to yours, and white along the edges of their wings. Petra, this is so much fun!

  2. I give up already. How clever. I expect it to animate and fall into place at any moment.

  3. My first guess is Monarch Butterfly as well but .... alas, that is not an 'animal' so I could be way off. Regardless, I love the composition and colors. Nice!

  4. My first thought was butterfly also. I'm very curious. Please don't make us wait too long.

  5. Wow! What an interesting concept, Petra! OK - I think that it's either a toucan or a tiger. Did you put it all together and place it on the back of the quilt???

  6. I vote for Monarch butterfly as well. I am sure that is it, but if I am wrong.....

  7. Oh, what fun! Is there a lizard out there with those colorations?
The funny thing is that when I started to squint and blur it, I could see a person in the orange pieces on the right side. His head is a white circle and his arms are in front of him. Then there is another little person sliding down the side of the large orange pieces and it is sweet to have a heart between them.
I had fun seeing my own mystery in your quilt. Thanks.

  8. Oh my gosh.... Does it have to be an animal ?? I sort-of see a beautiful flower in full bloom with lots of pollen being released into the air. Hmmmm.... maybe its a "Tiger" lilly :-) Great job, Petra - you've succeeded in getting all of us stirred up as we try to solve your Mystery.

  9. Petra, could the orange and black be the stripes on a zebra's neck? That's what I see when I squint. What ever animal it is, the image is beautiful. Thanks for the mystery challenge!
