Circles, what could be more circular then planets? So I
began this with a piece of black fabric. Needed stars……used the old tried and
true paint in the toothbrush flicking method.
Looked around and found some really cool hand painted or
dyed fabrics for the planets. The arrangement was not as easy as I thought, but
I persevered and came up with this. I machine appliqued the planets on and
stuffed a few for fullness.
Out of this world!!!! :)

ReplyDeleteThe background is wonderful and I love the extra touch you added with your stitching
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly obvious that great minds travel in the same circles (smile, smile)! I do love your background stars. This toothbrush technique made the background so realistic.
ReplyDeleteI love that you creatively added the stars, Carol. They look so natural. And the planets - so colorful and perfect! The hand-stitching was the perfect addition!
ReplyDeleteLike most others who mentioned it, I love your use of the toothbrush-splattered paint which is the perfect background for your planets.
